We believe the purpose of High Street Christian Academy is to assist the parents in their God-given responsibility
of educating their children by providing a Christ-centered environment where students are trained spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. God gave to parents the ultimate responsibility of training their children; however, He has also provided the local church and Christian school to assist them in their endeavors. With this three-way relationship working together, we can see the student grow to become the Christian that God desires him to be while fulfilling God's purpose for his life.

High Street Christian Academy was started in 1976 by Dr. Charles E. Mainous II as a ministry of High Street Baptist Church. Since its founding, HSCA has sought to maintain a spirit of excellence in all that it does, as well as to continue to progress by pursuing new spiritual heights and academic excellence.
The Bible is at the very core of all instruction, correction, and example at HSCA. Our spiritual training is the most effective training we would ever receive. HSCA places the emphasis on teaching a student how to live the Christian life, not how to make a living. Therefore, we expect each student to be an active member of a Bible-believing, New Testament church.
HSCA trains young men and women in a controlled Christian atmosphere from Preschool through the twelfth grade. The Bible is taught not only as a class, but as the center and focal point of all other subjects. The A-Beka curriculum is used in all classroom instruction. We incorporate yearly achievement tests in evaluating the progress of each student. We endeavor to prepare the students for college or to enter the modern workplace.
HSCA views the sports program as an opportunity to instill character in the students, to teach them to maintain a strong Christian testimony, and to develop their physical skills. We offer boys football and basketball as well as girls volleyball and cheerleading.
